Schema.org — Schema.org is a shared vocabulary that websites use to describe things like businesses, people, products, and articles in a form machines understand. It was founded by major search engines and is now the main language of structured data on the web. It defines types, such as Organization, and properties, such as legalName. A disciplined Schema.org implementation is the foundation of canonical identity, though not the whole of it.
