Canonical identity — A canonical identity is the single official, consistent definition of a business, written so that both people and machines can read it. Every other description of the business, on every platform, is made to match it. It covers the business’s identifiers, facts, and relationships, plus a clear statement that this record is the one that counts. AI/SI systems use it to decide who a business is and what they can safely say about it.
